Spanish restaurant chain Sagardi will open its first UK branch in Shoreditch, London.
The Basque cuisine brand already holds branches across Spain as well as in South America, but is currently looking for up to three other new sites in central London, with a focus on Soho and the King’s Cross and London Bridge areas.
The restaurant has taken a 20-year lease on a 5,700 sq ft unit occupying the ground floor of a newly-developed office building at 87-95 Curtain Road.
Agents Harper Dennis Hobbs advised Sagardi on the deal.
Charles Catterall of the agents’ leisure division said: “The Sagardi restaurant will comprise two distinct dining areas: a bar serving pintxos with Basque cider, beers, and wines, and a restaurant with a charcoal grill.”
Agents Paul Belchak & Co advised the landlord Mura Estates on the deal.
