Outlook for 2020 : Retail Think Tank members discuss what 2020 will look like for UK retail

The KPMG/Ipsos Retail Think Tank (RTT) meets quarterly to provide authoritative ‘thought leadership’ on matters affecting the retail industry. Through its quarterly meetings it develops and publishes thought leadership on the key areas influencing the future of retailing, which are designed to address both the health of the sector and the challenges it faces.

The RTT consists of ten members, representing key areas of the retail industry. At the latest RTT meeting, members discussed what 2020 would look like for UK retail, impact of end of the political paralysis on UK retail, grocery sector 2020 outlook, easing rental pressures on retailers and new focus area for retailers in 2020. Head of Retail Consultancy at Harper Dennis Hobbs (HDH), Jonathan De Mello is one the ten members and has provided his views in this latest whitepaper “Outlook for 2020”
