Akil joined HDH in April 2022 and works as a retail analyst in the travel retail team.  He graduated from University of Hertfordshire with a degree in Information Systems, and has since gained extensive retail experience working in merchandising roles for Signet Jewellers and River Island. Akil’s role provides invaluable analytical support to the travel team’s retail advisory and airport consultancy projects.

Amanda joined HDH 2013 and works in the UK agency team, advising a number of retailers on acquisitions and disposals. She is primarily focused on the central London market and her clients include Swarovski, Bang & Olufsen, Barbour, Zadig & Voltaire and Psycle.

Amy joined HDH in 2017 as PA to the UK Team after working as a Secretary for a Specialist Recruitment consultancy based in the City.

Ana joined HDH from retailer Desigual in 2016. She has over 16 years' experience working worldwide with both landlords and brands. Based in Madrid, Ana speaks four languages, including English, French and Italian, as well as her native Spanish. She is active across continental Europe and takes care of Skechers European expansion.

Andrew heads HDH's International Team. With 30 years’ experience working in Europe, the USA and other worldwide markets, he specialises in advising retailers on cross-border expansion. His clients include Ralph Lauren, Paul Smith, Superdry, Skechers, Columbia Sportswear, Baccarat and Reiss.

Andrew is the lead Director of the Lease Advisory division of HDH, which he founded in 2000. He specialises in professional work for retail clients in Central London, including regional shopping centres and large stores, dealing with Agency and Investment matters as required.

Andy has worked in retail property for over 15 years and heads HDH’s Consultancy & Analytics team. He advises retailers, landlords and investors on the optimal strategy for their brands and shopping centres, using data and analytics to enable informed decision-making. He has worked for a wide range of clients, such as Estee Lauder, Holland & Barrett, Westfield and Sheffield City Council, and across many markets around the world.

Angus joined HDH as a graduate in 2019.  He graduated on a First from Oxford Brookes University and his dissertation research on turnover leases and omni-channel retail was later published by the University.  Angus works within the Investment and Agency teams.

Ben joined HDH in February 2020 and works within the Leisure Retail team. Ben joins from Shelley Sandzer and brings over 6 years of experience working with a variety of operators within the UK market. These include London Cocktail Club, Ahi Poke and Roasting Plant.

Ben joined HDH in 2021 after completing an undergraduate degree in Real Estate at Oxford Brookes University. Ben is currently working towards his APC while working within the UK Agency and Investment teams.

Charlotte completed her MSc in Real Estate at Oxford Brookes University in September of 2021 and joined the HDH office agency team in February 2022. Prior to this she went to the University of Warwick and did an undergraduate degree in History of Art.  Charlotte is looking forward to working in the office agency team whilst completing her APC.

The Dennis in Harper Dennis Hobbs, Chris co-founded the company in 1993. He has a background in retailing, franchising and surveying, and runs the administrative side of HDH as well as advising a number of retailers in the UK and Ireland.

Chris joined HDH in 2009 and specialises in retail, professional and agency work. He undertakes rent reviews, lease renewals and restructuring, together with shop acquisitions and disposals on behalf of retailers throughout the UK.

Dan is an Equity Director and leads the UK Retail team. He has spent his career advising retailers on their UK launch and ongoing expansion working with brands such as Ralph Lauren, Swarovski and Rituals. Dan has an excellent track record in central London having recently acquired key stores for Reserved, Rag & Bone, Belstaff, Club Monaco and Canada Goose.

The Founding Partner and former CEO of Harper Dennis Hobbs, David has been at the forefront of European and USA retail property for 35 years.  David has been an active market leading agent since the business started. From Covid assistance to leasing prime stores in Oslo and buying shopping centres in Leeds.  David is active and fully engaged with both the occupational and the investment market.

David heads the offices team at HDH. He has over 31 years’ experience in the industry, and has worked with a number of high-profile brands such as Ford, Apple, Gucci, Thomas Pink, Peloton, Tag Heuer, Prada, Harvey Nichols and JW Anderson.  David’s office acquisitions have ranged from 7000 sq. ft for Louis Vuitton in New Bond Street to 125,000 sq. ft for HSBC’s Private Banking division in St. James’s Street.

David is a longstanding Equity Director of Harper Dennis Hobbs specialising in UK and European retail real estate. His clients include River Island, Aldo, Hotel Chocolat and Typo. He is 100% committed to representing the retailers/occupiers and has successfully implemented multiple UK store roll-outs for several clients in recent years.

Debbie joined the company in 2014, having previously worked at another property firm for nine years as an accountant. She deals with all financial and accounting matters at HDH.

Gemma joined HDH in June 2021 within the Travel Retail wholesale team. She has over 10 years’ experience within TR and UK grocery. Her previous roles included working for an award-winning drinks company plus International Account Manager for a leading publication within Travel Retail. Gemma also brings with her a wealth of experience within the cruise sector, both at sea and on land having previously held the role of Global Duty-Free Buyer for a worldwide cruise retailer.

HDH’s Vogue enthusiast. Hannah joined in 2011 and is primarily focused on the central London market advising brands such as El Ganso, Zimmermann, Microsoft, Acqua Di Parma, J.Crew, West Elm, Carolina Herrera and Thomas Sabo.

Hazel joined in 2019 as Director in the Travel team. Previously she spent 10 years heading Heathrow’s fashion category, as well as extensive buying roles for Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. As head of womenswear buying at Harvey Nichols, she was responsible for the delivery of the new women’s luxury floor in the Knightsbridge store. With her experience in travel retail and fashion brands she advises both airports and brands on all aspects of retail.

Heather specialises in professional work, dealing with rent reviews and lease renewals for high value retailers mainly in Central London. She also assists new and existing clients with their business rates liabilities, assessing their property portfolios and advising on appeals and rate mitigation where appropriate.

Isabel joined HDH in September 2021 after completing an MSc in Real Estate at Henley Business School following her undergraduate degree in Geography and Spanish at Leeds University. Isabel has joined the European Team at Harper Dennis Hobbs working with the firm’s retailer client base across Europe while working towards her APC.  

James joined HDH in 2014 after studying for an MSc in Real Estate at Sheffield Hallam University. He works in the UK agency team and advises a wide range of brands, from tech giant Peloton, to luxury label JW Anderson. James was born and grew up in Hong Kong and still keeps an eye on the Asian market.

James joined HDH in July 2004 and stepped up as the CEO in October 2018. Since 2004 he has been instrumental in advising American retailers on their expansion into Europe. He advises brands such as Peloton, American Eagle, Forever 21, J.Crew, Microsoft, Samsung, Williams-Sonoma, Uniqlo, Carolina Herrera and Thomas Sabo. In his new role as the CEO he is bringing a fresh vision and direction for HDH during the next exciting phase of the company's journey.

James joined HDH in 2017 after completing his MSc in Real Estate at the University of Reading. He now works in the UK agency team having previously worked for 18 months providing lease advisory and business rates advice.

Jamie joined HDH in 2004 and specialises in Central London Investment. In the last 5 years he has been responsible for the acquisition of more than £2 billion of retail-led investment property in locations including Bond Street, Oxford Street, Hanover Square and the City. He also represents retailers such as Bestseller, LVMH and Petit Bateau on leasing matters.

Jennifer joined HDH in 2021 as a Personal Assistant to David Purslow and Andrew Bathurst.  Jennifer has worked in property since 2018 and was previously a PA within a Commercial Property Investment and Management firm based in the City.

Jessica recently joined HDH as a Director within the Travel Division.  Jessica led the Global Travel Retail team at McG Consultants for 10 years. Jessica specialises in identifying, launching and building brands into global Travel Retail markets including airport stores, cruise, ferries and inflight.

John joined HDH in 2013 and has spent the last 7 years in our International Team, where he works with retailers such as Ganni, Skechers, Superdry, Rapha, A Day’s March and Carolina Herrera. John speaks fluent French and Spanish and is active across continental Europe.

Julia joined HDH in 2018 as PA to David Harper.  Julia has spent most of her career in the property industry, with her last role as a PA at an Investment Management firm in the West End.

Laura joined HDH in 2015 and deals with the day to day needs and management of the office and reception. She is our first point of contact, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all visitors.

With the launch of its Out of Town Retail and Leisure team, Peter joined Harper Dennis Hobbs in 2017 as a Director based in its Regent Street office. Peter joins from Harvey Spack Field and brings over 11 years of experience. His previous clients include Aviva, British Land, Land Securities, London Metric, M& G, Little Waitrose, Tapi and Wilko’s. Peter heads the Out of Town Retail and Leisure team at Harper Dennis Hobbs.

Raquel joined the HDH team in 2021 to support the CEO and agency team. She facilitates the organisation of their clients expansion projects by managing the programming of their works and interfaces with landlords to manage technical queries. Raquel has 10 years’ experience managing luxury store openings throughout Europe as well as travel retail stores in South Africa and globally.

Rebecca joined HDH in 2008 and works in the International team where her language skills are used to full advantage. She specialises in pan-European strategic retail development but also works further afield advising on acquisitions in the US, Asia and Australia. Her clients include Ganni, Paul Smith and Agent Provocateur, helping to develop their international retail presence.

Richard McGratty, Consultant to HDH TR,  has over 30 years’ experience in global duty free and travel retail, including McG Consultants which he founded in 2000.   Richard is best known for bringing innovation and newness to the industry offering a showcase of globally desired brands.

Rob heads up the Business Rates division at HDH. He has over 30 years experience, starting his career in the Valuation Office in 1988, where he worked for over 10 years before moving to the private sector. He also works on rent reviews and lease renewals and is a qualified Arbitrator and Independent Expert.

Rochae joined HDH in 2021 as PA to Travel and Leisure Teams. After gaining a BSc degree in Communications and Media at Brunel University in 2015, Rochae joined a pharmaceutical company as a Logistics Agent.  Her latest role was for an architectural technology firm where she was PA to the CEO whilst also assisting with HR and Events.

Sharon joined HDH in 2017 as an Associate Director in the Travel Retail team. Sharon has enjoyed an extensive career in travel retail working for the former British Airports Authority (BAA) and most recently Heathrow Airport  working with a variety of retail brands from the UK high street to global luxury.  She was responsible for the development of the retail experience across many of the UK’s key airports, including the new Heathrow Terminal 2, and Terminal 4’s new luxury area.  

Simon heads HDH’s Travel Retail Team. He is a leading travel retail specialist and has enjoyed a 17 year career, working for and with some of the world’s leading brands. Most notably during his 8 years at Heathrow Airport leading the luxury category. Simon specialises in advising both airports and retailers on their travel retail strategies across the globe and can lead the implementation of a retailer’s travel retail strategy.

Simon heads HDH’s Leisure Retail Team. He has been in the industry since 2010 working with various renowned brands both internationally and locally to the UK Market. These include By Chloe, Paramount Lebanese Kitchen, Speciality Hospitality Group, Shake Shack & Teds Grooming Room.

Tim joined HDH in 2005 & is an Executive Director in the UK Agency Team.  He has considerable Central London & shopping centre experience & in department stores & food stores. Retail clients include Next, Schuh, Benetton, Lindex, Planet Organic, Casa Madre, Geox & Montezuma’s.  Leisure clients include Little Lion, Merlin, Dept Studios, KX Gym, Hartshorn Hook & Deep Dark Labs.  Tim has brought many brands to the UK & is advising several clients on international expansion.

Toby has over 20 years’ experience in dealing with rent reviews, lease renewals, restructuring, acquisitions and disposals on behalf of retail, leisure, business space and warehouse occupiers throughout the UK.

Whitney joined HDH in 2018 as a Surveyor in the business rates department. Previously, she spent 4 years working within residential property and has an extensive experience in managing and advising clients on their property portfolio. Whitney works with clients on business rate appeals, rates liability schedules and monitoring of property portfolios for possible rate mitigation.

Will joined HDH in March 2022 and works as an Analyst in the Consultancy & Analytics team, using data and analytics to enable informed decision-making. He graduated from James Madison University with a degree in International Affairs in 2020 after studying across North America, Europe, and Asia. During his time at HDH, Will has contributed catchment assessments and provided analysis for a variety of projects, including work for Fenwick, Nike and Watches of Switzerland.

Will joined HDH in September 2021 after completing a MSc in Real Estate at Henley Business School. He sat in the Lease Advisory team assisting occupiers with their rent reviews, lease renewals and business rates appeals across the UK. In January 2022, he rotated to UK Agency.

Will joined the UK agency team at HDH in 2013, and works closely with David Purslow on several client accounts including Typo, T2, Hotel Chocolat, River Island and Tumi.

Will has 15 years of experience advising retailers on their real estate requirements across Europe. His clients include; Baccarat, Burberry, Canali, Richemont, Sergio Rossi and Zadig & Voltaire.
